Senator Kamala Harris of California blazed a trail of firsts, as San Francisco's first Black district attorney, then as California's first female attorney general. She is the first woman, and first woman of color on a winning presidential ticket. And, at 56, there are more firsts to come!
“While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last,” she told a cheering audience in Wilmington, Delaware. “Because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.”
